  • The owner opted for a rich yet subdued palette of materials including honed-marble countertops interplayed with a tumbled-marble mosaic-tile backsplash. The marble is repeated in the fireplace surround, mantle and hearth. Bamboo flooring throughout now ties the component spaces together, giving the home both cohesion and a sense of expanse. The project received a 2007 “Remmie” award from the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NARI.
